Our practice is collaborative and supportive. We have a team of experienced clinicians on hand to share and learn from as well as direct access to the Director so you have the support you need to flourish. NewPsych began almost 30 years ago and have grown into a centre of clinical excellence. We have a diverse clinical team of over 40 psychologists and three psychiatrists, and enjoys very low turnover - many of our clinicians and support team have been with us for 10+ years.

Our work is varied. Counselling and corporate services such as wellbeing education and training, critical response and clinical supervision. We hold large bank of existing referral sources, including excellent relationships with GPs and many high-profile organisations have chosen us to deliver EAP services across industries such as education, health, infrastructure and heavy industry.

Our work opportunities are flexible. We offer flexible telehealth opportunities for clinicians who would like to join our team of affiliates from outside Newcastle and the Hunter region. Our telehealth platform allows you to seamlessly engage with your clients from anywhere in Australia, while being fully supported by our exceptional administration team. We currently have several clinicians offering telehealth services from geographically diverse areas such as Sydney, Victoria, Queensland, France and quite recently a caravan travelling around Australia! NewPsych offer flexible days and hours (from early mornings into the late evenings, as well as family-friendly school hours). Our aim is to help you stay healthy. We know that giving to clients is only sustainable if you stay healthy yourself. We understand the impact of our work and offer all our clinicians and staff access to a third-party EAP. Our Clinician Support team ensures you’re never overloaded, your caseload is balanced and you have  all the support you need from within the team. We offer weekly group supervision, as well as individual supervision, to support you in taking care of yourself.
