Tanya is a provisionally registered Psychologist who has just completed a Masters of Professional Psychology at the University of Newcastle. Tanya has worked in business and human resources for the past 30 years with a focus on people and culture. With so much of her work involving human behaviour, interaction, mental health support and relationships it was a natural progression for her to follow her passion for psychology. Tanya believes in a caring, person-centred approach to understand your story, working through challenges you are experiencing with you to support you to achieve your therapeutic goals. She uses a combination of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness techniques to assist clients with grief and a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression and mood disorders (or issues with mood). Tanya also has an interest in supporting psycho-oncology clients.

Tanya enjoys keeping fit and spending time with family and friends. She volunteers in community sport and has a love of the ocean and reading.
