Dr Matthew Jepsen
Clinical Psychologist

Matthew has completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has ten years’ experience in public, academic and private settings where he has provided assessment, counselling and interventions to children, adolescents, adults and families.

 

Matthew has previously been a special teacher’s assistant and child and respite carer, working with young people with developmental and intellectual difficulties.

 

He has a passion for working with people overcoming a range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, addiction and interpersonal issues. He is currently focusing upon helping adults and adolescents.

 

Matthew’s work is client-centred and eclectic. He makes strong use of evidence-based approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) but is most concerned with meeting individuals’ needs to enable change.

 

Matthew is a devoted father and husband who most enjoys the beach, good food and family.
