ADOLESCENTS ADULTS

Andrew is a registered psychologist who has recently completed postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Newcastle. He has experience working with clients across the lifespan in a variety of school, public health, and not-for-profit settings, as well as a background in out-of-home care and youth drug & alcohol services.

Andrew enjoys working with both adults and young people facing a wide range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment, and relationship issues. He supports clients to achieve therapeutic goals and live according to personal values, through a therapeutic style grounded in warmth, compassion and curiosity. Andrew draws responsively on evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to provide a therapeutic space that recognises the individual strengths, needs and life experiences of his clients.

Outside of the therapy room Andrew is passionate about a range of social equality issues and enjoys backpacking, baking, fitness, and befriending other people’s pets.
